We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, comprehensive services to children from birth through adolescence, and we’re glad you’ve chosen us as your child’s medical home.

Established in 1979.
Kiwi Pediatrics is committed to providing the highest quality of pediatric care while celebrating the extraordinary diversity of the families we serve. We care for children from birth through their early 20’s. If you are starting a new family, we would love to meet you. We offer a complimentary Prenatal Meet and Greet every month. Please call us to sign up. We visit all our newborns at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and we work with many midwife practices. Please call us if you are planning a home delivery for more information. And after your baby arrives, we offer lactation service. We are affiliated with UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and in San Francisoco and we offer 24/7 care with our Pediatric After Hours Clinic. Our patients can email us directly too through our patient portal. We are accepting new patients. Please call us for any questions. We accept HMO’s ABMG, CFMG, and Alameda Alliance, and most other commercial insurances and Medi-Cal.

We are a group of physicians and nurse practitioners who work collaboratively to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Dr. David Kittams started Kiwi Pediatrics in 1979 and was joined by Dr. Robin Winokur in 1985. Dr. Liz Salsburg joined in 2001. We welcomed Pediatric Nurse Pracitioner Melissa De La Mora, in 2013 and Dr. Nanci Tucker (from across the Bay) in 2016. In addition, we have nurse practitioners who have been with Kiwi Pediatrics since 2010- Kun Lu, Mark Thomas, Erin Shuster and Katie Hale.
One of our medical assistants has been at Kiwi since 1980, and several have been part of our Kiwi team a least a decade.
